Academic Updates
Edgenuity is the online curriculum platform our high school students use for coursework. Students move through their courses at a steady, tracked pace with a teacher on hand to reteach, check work, and keep progress on schedule. It gives students flexibility in how they learn while keeping the same expectations for what they learn — all in a safe, caring, and culturally enriching environment that honors the traditions and values of the Navajo Nation.
Working in Edgenuity, students build:
- Progress toward graduation requirements and credits
- Self-management — pacing, deadlines, and tracking their own completion
- Independent reading and study skills for college and career
- Comfort with the digital tools they will use after high school
- Focused support from teachers on the standards they have not yet mastered
We partner closely with families to keep students on pace and prepared for life after graduation.
Support at Home
Parents can help by:
- Check course progress together in the portal — percentage complete and current grade are both visible.
- Ask which course they are furthest behind in, and what their plan is to catch up this week.
- Set aside a quiet place and a consistent time at home for coursework.
- Encourage them to ask their teacher for help rather than guessing through a unit test.
- Talk about what comes after graduation — college, trades, military, or work — and what this year needs to look like to get there.
- Keep phones out of reach during study time; Edgenuity progress depends on sustained focus.
- Help them keep a consistent sleep schedule.
