Welcome from the Principal

Yá’át’ééh, Students, Families, and Leupp Community Members,

Welcome to School Year, 2026–2027 at Leupp Schools, Inc. It is a privilege to serve as your principal and to work alongside our dedicated staff, parents, elders, and community members in nurturing the next generation of Diné leaders.

My core belief as an educator is simple: we must honor our past while fully preparing our children for the 21st century.

Traditional Navajo character is character in its truest, most enduring form. Values like K’é (kinship, respect, and unity), Iiná (life and living well), and perseverance are not just cultural heritage—they are the bedrock of personal integrity and leadership. When our students are firmly rooted in who they are, where they come from, and the wisdom of our ancestors, they walk forward with unshakeable confidence.

While maintaining this strong cultural anchor, we are equally driven to prepare our students for a modern, interconnected world. Preparing 21st-century learners means offering rigorous academics, modern technology, and the critical thinking skills needed to excel in higher education and future careers. Our youth should never have to choose between their culture and modern success—at Leupp Schools, Inc., they will have both.

Education thrives when the home, the school, and the community walk together. I encourage every parent and guardian to take an active role in our school community as we build a supportive, safe, and academically ambitious environment for every child.
